Tennessee guides written on foot and on the backroads
Every itinerary here starts as a long drive down a two-lane. We pick a corner of Tennessee — a mountain town, a river city, a stretch of gravel-road farmland — spend a few days in it, and write down only what we'd tell a friend: the biscuits worth the detour, the hour when the light hits the ridge, the overlook where the tour buses never stop.
We take the rural parts seriously. Some of our favorite stops are in towns with one caution light, and we note the gas stations and closing hours because out there, that matters as much as the view.
Times are suggestions with slack built in. Nothing is stacked so tightly that a second cup of coffee ruins the day, and every plan assumes you'd rather linger than sprint.
No sponsorships, no affiliate placements, no restaurant that paid to be on a list. If something falls off, we drive the route again and rewrite it.
